I am about to embark on international tutoring, I pray I get learners to sign up. I am missing my students during this COVID 19 lockdown and not many of them have uncapped wifi so that we can continue our lessons.
This lockdown allowed me to get all my ducks in a row and helped me to find my peace and center. As a small business owner, I often only have myself to rely on and I have learned to be strong and innovative. It is very easy to become despondent and frightened and a worried wreck within this time ... I take solace in the fact that I am one out of millions who are in this boat and that I am blessed to still have options to help myself...just thinking of so many that do not have options and those that have lost their jobs in this already "junk status economy South Africa".
I have faith and trust that I will be able to manage because I am very hard working and passionate about Education. It's been 8 years since I gave up my career in chemistry as a Senior Analytical Chemist to become a full-time teacher, ... even though I left a relatively stable and good income for a meager teacher salary, I knew I was not doing it for merely being a mediocre teacher, and that is the reason why I took a leap of faith... The education system was not ready for me as yet, My ideas and dreams were far ahead of our current system and thus I needed to start my own centre. I was burning of passion and my passion is still deep red and hot and the lockdown is not going to bring me down.
Keep your chins up and stay strong!!
Yours in Education
